2 x 7 Video wall Systems to Monitor Power Plant
Client: EDRA Energy
Scope of work: To install Video wall solutions (Controller Software)
EDRA Energy, based in Menara Maxis, required video wall solutions that can distribute and manage the content using the existing IT infrastructure. The objective is to display 15 web-based dashboards from a single workstation.
The Challenges
The video wall need to fulfill the following requirements:
- 1 workstation to power up 14 video wall displays + 1 monitor in the operation manager room
- flexible content layout via drag and drop
- display web-based content and real-time dashboards via 15 preset URLs in each video wall displays every time it starts in the morning
- the systems must be able to operate at least 12 hours on daily basis (Monday to Friday) with built-in scheduled on/off automatically
- Must be able to utilize existing IT infra with NO additional cabling work
The Solutions
The MAWI Spacewall video wall solution can meet the requirement perfectly, especially the last point. EDRA was using another video wall software before it malfunctioned, leaving the IT infra such as LAN cabling and network switches in place.
The high-spec workstation with MAWI Spacewall software controls the 15 units of MAWI player at each display.
This enables them to monitor the web-based dashboards & KPIs with real-time updates
Results
The client is very excited with MAWI features
- cost saving without new investment because they can utilize existing IT infra
- User friendly control interface which means anyone can use the systems with minimum training
- support web-based URL input which means they can display website content and dashboards that run on Chrome browsers
